Universal Screening for SARS-CoV-2 in Women Admitted for Delivery
Between March 22 and April 4, 2020, 215 pregnant women at New York Presbyterian Allen Hospital and Columbia University Irving Medical Center were screened for COVID-19 symptoms on admission for delivery. Only 4 women had symptoms. 210 asymptomatic women were then tested for COVID-19. 29 of the 33 (87.9%) patients who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 at admission had no symptoms.
