Prioritizing Design Ideation Ideas

After design ideas are generated, teams vote on them to determine their priority and value. Two common methods for prioritizing design ideation ideas are:

  • One-Hundred-Dollar Test: Team members receive a hypothetical $100 to distribute among the ideas, forcing them to evaluate each design's relative value.
  • NUF Test (New, Useful, Feasible): Team members rate each idea on a 1–7 scale across three attributes: whether they have seen the design before (New), whether it solves a problem (Useful), and how practical it is to implement (Feasible).
