QE's Role in Financing Fiscal Stimulus

In response to deep recessions where conventional monetary policy is constrained, governments often implement expansionary fiscal policy financed by issuing new bonds. Central banks frequently support this by purchasing these bonds through quantitative easing, which means the government's borrowing is effectively financed by the expansion of central bank reserves, a different form of government liability.
