Rate of Interest (Algebra)

The rate of interest, denoted by the variable rr, is the percentage of the principal that is paid or earned as interest over a certain period, usually per year. When used in algebraic equations like the simple interest formula, this annual percentage rate must always be converted into its decimal equivalent to properly compute the interest.
