Short Answer

Responder's Strategy in a Competitive Ultimatum Game

Consider a scenario where one person (the 'Proposer') makes a single, take-it-or-leave-it offer to two other people (the 'Responders'). If at least one Responder accepts, the Proposer chooses one of the accepting Responders to receive the money. If both reject, no one gets anything. As a Responder, explain how your decision on the minimum offer you would accept is affected by whether you believe your competitor is driven more by a desire for any monetary gain versus a commitment to fairness.
