Results of Effect of Hydroxychloroquine in Hospitalized Patients with COVID-19: Preliminary results from a multi-centre, randomized, controlled trial
Primary outcome:
- No significant difference in outcome between the patients who received hydroxychloroquine and those who did not
Secondary outcomes:
- Longer time until discharge alive and lower probability of discharge alive
- Higher probability of requiring invasive mechanical ventilation (if not already on invasive mechanical ventilation at randomization)
Subsidiary outcomes:
- New major cardiac arrhythmia
- Increased use of hemodialysis or hemofiltration
- Increased duration of ventilation
