Concept

Saturated fatty acids

This type of fatty acid has hydrocarbon chains that contain only single bonds. They tend to have the greatest number of hydrogen atoms possible therefore saturating the hydrogen. They also tend to be very flexible. Some examples of saturated fatty acids include butter, cheese, cakes, and fatty meats.
