Simplifying Assumption in the Olive Oil Production Model: Ignoring Raw Materials

In the production function for olive oil, Y=f(M,N,E)Y = f(M, N, E), raw materials such as olives are intentionally omitted as an input. This simplification is based on the assumption that the quantity of olives needed is automatically determined by the target volume of oil to be produced, rather than being an independent variable chosen by the firm in the same way as labor, capital, and energy.
