Any social information regarding the threat along with n absence of behavioral interactions, contributes to emotional, motivational and neurobiological responses. These in humans, have been termed as Behavioral Immune system, and they include reactive and prepatory behaviors, as well as behavioral avoidance and adaptive behaviors.
The aforementioned Behavioral Immune System elicits an anticipatory neuroimmune response, affective and cognitive responses, and avoidance responses. It is the initial defense against social pathogens.
