Spiritual Sincerity vs. Hypocrisy in the Father's Answer
In the Sixth Discourse of Attar's Elahi Nameh, the father responds to his son's intent to use magic to fulfill worldly desires with the excuse that he will simply repent later. The father firmly rejects this justification, guiding the son toward genuine spiritual sincerity and cautioning him against the inherent hypocrisy of pursuing worldly ambitions while claiming spiritual intentions.
