Strategic Tensions in a Two-Player Game

Consider a strategic interaction between two players where each can choose one of two actions: an aggressive one or a passive one. The best possible outcome for a player is to choose the aggressive action while their opponent chooses the passive one. The worst possible outcome for both players is if they both choose the aggressive action. If both choose the passive action, they receive a moderate, mutually acceptable payoff. Analyze the strategic dilemma faced by the players in this scenario. In your answer, explain why a player might be tempted to choose the aggressive action, and also describe the major risk associated with that choice.
