67 student and 33 faculty member sample from the University of Bucharest. Data is based on Survey Monkey, focus groups, interviews, and text mining of emails/web comments.

• 62.5% of students and approximately 51.5% of faculty surveyed thought that the university should provide MOOCs.

• No students advised against MOOCs and only one professor objected.

• Approximately 6% of students and approximately 10% of staff expressed uncertainty at the idea of MOOCs as a staple in Romanian higher ed.
