The Allegory of Jesus and the Worldly House in Mosibat Nameh

This concept explains the allegory in Farid al-Din Attar's Mosibat Nameh where Jesus is questioned about why he does not build a house. Jesus responds that a temporary worldly shelter, which does not accompany a person into eternity, is unworthy of him. The tale illustrates the Sufi concept of detachment (zuhd) and the transience of earthly life.
