However, in reality ('haqiqatan'), it is not yet true wheat because its nourishing qualities (such as making bread and sustaining life) only exist in potentiality ('bi'l-quwwah') and have not yet manifested in actuality ('bi'l-fi'l').
• The Spiritual Application: Similarly, Jami argues that a human being is only metaphorically a human being as long as their higher spiritual, intellectual, and moral qualities remain dormant.
