Unlike standard representations of post-mortem sorrow that focus solely on personal loss of opportunity, Jami introduces an altruistic dimension: the deceased Sheikh longs to return to the physical world not for wealth, status, or prestige, but to humbly knock on every door and warn the living of their spiritual negligence (ghaflah) and the transience of life.
