The Effectiveness of Using Chunking Strategy to Improve Students’ Reading Comprehension at the Second Year of SMP Negeri 2 Barombong - Experimental Design

  • Students took a pre-test on February 23th, 2015 that consisted of 20 multiple choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes on paper
  • Students in chunking treatment had 6 meetings to learn about chunking
  • During meetings, students practiced chunking on different texts based on their preferences and understanding
  • All students took a post-test on March 11th, 2015 with 20 multiple choice questions again to be completed in 40 minutes on paper
