The Efficient Farmer's Dilemma

Imagine two farmers, Farmer A and Farmer B. Farmer A has a large, technologically advanced farm and can produce both wheat and vegetables more efficiently (using fewer resources per ton) than Farmer B, who has a smaller, more traditional farm. A friend argues that since Farmer A is better at producing everything, there is no reason for Farmer A to ever trade with Farmer B. Analyze this argument. Explain, using economic reasoning, how it is possible for both Farmer A and Farmer B to benefit from specializing in one crop and trading with each other.
