Short Answer

The Limits of Coercion in Resource Allocation

A powerful landowner can dictate how much of a harvest a landless farmer receives. The landowner's sole objective is to maximize their own share of the harvest. The farmer has no other source of food or income and relies entirely on the portion of the harvest they are given. Explain why it is not in the landowner's long-term interest to claim 100% of the harvest, even if they have the absolute power to enforce this division.
