In this section of Attar's Mosibat Nameh, Layla advises Majnun to become a stranger to intellect and embrace madness. She warns that approaching her with reason will result in suffering 'many wounds,' while madness provides immunity and detachment from societal judgment. In Sufi literature, this represents the necessity of abandoning the limitations of rational intellect (Aql) in favor of the all-consuming state of divine love and spiritual madness (Junun). The intellect calculates and fears consequences, whereas divine madness allows the seeker to endure the trials of love unconditionally.
