In Section 7 of Chapter 10 of the Hadiqat al-Haqiqah, Sanai illustrates the transition of the human state (tabdil-i hal) during aging using striking cosmological and sensory metaphors. He describes the physical bending of the body as a full moon (badr) waning into a thin crescent (hilal), rendering the world dark to his failing sight. Sanai also employs a powerful color-inversion metaphor regarding hair and heart: the blackness (siyahi) of youth's ignorance shifts from the hair into the heart, while the pristine whiteness (sipidi) of the heart's purity is transferred to the head. This physical and spiritual decay serves as a warning against squandering life in ignorance (ba ablahiy bar bad) and highlights the urgent necessity of preparing spiritual provisions for the impending journey of death.
