In Attar's Elahi Nameh, the supplication of Ibrahim Adham at the Kaaba highlights a profound Sufi theological paradox regarding the relationship between human fallibility and divine grace. When Ibrahim prays to be granted complete sinlessness (ismah), a divine voice (hatif) responds that if all of creation were made sinless, the ocean of God's mercy (rahmah) would have no purpose or manifestation.
