The Peril of Worldly Ambition and Virtue of Obedience in the Father's Answer
In this section of Farid al-Din Attar's Elahi Nameh, the father instructs his son that true elevation is achieved through spiritual obedience rather than the pursuit of worldly rank (jah) or wealth (mal). He warns that worldly ambition is a dangerous burden that can corrupt even those who are otherwise distinguished on the spiritual path, ultimately leading to irreversible ruin.
