The Promise of Youthful Rejuvenation in Paradise in Jami's Tale of the Old Woman

In this tale from Jami's Haft Awrang, an aged woman asks the Prophet whether old women will reach Paradise. He first replies that such a fine abode could not be the resting place of an old woman, and that its flowers are youths and its buds are the fresh-faced, whereupon she weeps in grief. He then consoles her, revealing that aged women will first be restored to youthful maidenhood before entering the pure garden. The story develops the theme of divine grace renewing and transforming the faithful in the afterlife, paired with the Prophet's gentle, reassuring wisdom toward the sorrowful.
