Psychosocial Stress Model
This model proposes that stress results from an interaction between external events and internal psychological processes. Stress arises when individuals perceive a mismatch between the demands placed upon them and their ability to cope. Individual differences in personality, coping strategies, and social support significantly influence this stress response.
