The Station of Manifestation of the Divine Essence in Jami's Haft Awrang
In Section 30 of Jami's Haft Awrang, the poet describes the spiritual station of the 'Masters of Contemplation' (ارباب مشاهده), which represents the supreme 'Manifestation of the Divine Essence' (تجلی ذات). At this highly advanced stage of mystical attainment, the seeker transcends the multiplicity of Divine Attributes to witness the singular, undifferentiated Essence of God directly. Jami uses the metaphor of a seamless, solid sphere (کره مصمت) with no separation or void to illustrate the complete unity of existence. In this vision, all phenomenal objects and individual distinctions are understood as transient accidents (اعراض) hosted by the underlying cosmic Substance (جوهر), which serves as a mirror for the unique Divine Essence.
