Sequence Ordering

To critically analyze whether a causal relationship exists between two variables (e.g., variable XX and variable YY) when a researcher finds a correlation, they must evaluate the finding against the three criteria of causation.

Arrange the following criteria in order, starting with the only criterion that a simple correlational study can directly establish, followed by the two criteria that a simple correlational study fundamentally fails to establish (ordered from the one concerning time-order to the one concerning alternative explanations).
