Unconditioned Response (UCR)
An unconditioned response (UCR) is a natural, unlearned reaction that is automatically produced by an unconditioned stimulus. For example, in Pavlov's studies, the dogs' salivation when presented with meat powder was the UCR, as it was an innate reflex.

Every time you take a shower, someone in your apartment flushes a toilet, causing the water to become scalding hot. You naturally jump back from the hot water. After this happens several times, you begin to jump back as soon as you hear the toilet flush, even before the water temperature changes. In this scenario, which element is the stimulus that automatically triggers a reflexive response without any prior learning?
Learn After
A person accidentally touches a very hot stove burner and immediately pulls their hand away. This reflexive action does not require any prior experience or training. In this scenario, what is the unlearned, natural reaction?
