The manager or employee doesn’t have clarity or understanding on the tasks and assignments that need to be done. This is also one of the work stressors that might result in destructive leadership. 

Role Ambiguity in the workplace 

A manager that must solve intragroup conflict will have less time to give out assignments and give employees criticism. This is considered a work stressor. 

How conflict has to do with destructive leadership

It was found that role ambiguity and the employees’ perception about the amount of work led more to passive destructive behaviors.
