Bandura's Bobo Doll Experiment

Albert Bandura's Bobo doll experiment is a classic study on observational learning that also serves as a famous example of a behavioral measure used to operationally define physical aggression. In the study, children observed an adult model behave aggressively toward a clown-shaped inflatable doll; researchers then recorded the children's behavior in a playroom, counting the specific number of aggressive acts—such as hitting with a mallet, punching, or kicking—committed during a 20-minute period.
