Alfred Binet's Intelligence Test

In the early 1900s, the French government commissioned researcher Alfred Binet to create an assessment to identify children who might face academic difficulties. His resulting intelligence test, which focused heavily on verbally-based tasks, marked the beginning of reliable and systematic intelligence testing.
