Case Study

Analyzing a Household's Economic Contribution

A family spends their weekend performing several activities: they do laundry, prepare meals for the upcoming week, and help their teenage child study for a major school exam. In doing so, they use their washing machine, stove, groceries purchased from a store, and their own time and effort. Based on this scenario, analyze these activities as a production process. Identify the key inputs and outputs, and explain the significance of the non-marketable outputs to the wider economy.
