Angela's Survival Constraint as a Limit on Bruno's Power

Although Bruno has the power to force Angela to work and owns the grain she produces, his control is not absolute. He is limited by Angela's survival constraint, which dictates that he must provide her with at least a minimum level of utility. If he fails to do so, for instance by trying to make her work 24 hours for no grain, she might not survive or could risk an escape attempt. This constraint effectively sets the floor for any allocation he can impose.
