Attar's Perspective on the Prophet's Ascension (Mi'raj) in Elahi Nameh

In this section of the Elahi Nameh, Farid al-Din Attar describes the Mi'raj (celestial ascension) of Prophet Muhammad. Attar vividly depicts the angel Gabriel inviting the Prophet to journey beyond the material world to the divine realm and beyond space itself (lamakan). The narrative emphasizes that the entire cosmos, including prophets, angels, and heaven, eagerly awaited his presence, culminating in the ultimate purpose of the journey: witnessing God directly and receiving spiritual insight to intercede for his community.
