Autarky (Economic Self-Sufficiency)
Autarky is a state of economic independence or self-sufficiency, where an entity, such as a family or a nation, can subsist without external aid, support, or trade. In this condition, the entity produces all the goods and services it consumes, minimizing reliance on markets or other economic actors. While complete autarky is rare for nations, the concept is a key feature of models like family-based production.
