Calculating a Player's Payoff

Two food trucks, 'Taco Titan' and 'Burger Boss', operate on the same street and are the only food options. Each day, a total of 100 customers will buy lunch from one of the two trucks. Both trucks must independently decide whether to sell Tacos or Burgers for the day.

  • The price of a taco meal is $10, and it costs $4 to produce.
  • The price of a burger meal is $12, and it costs $6 to produce.

Market share depends on their choices:

  • If both trucks sell the same type of food, they split the 100 customers equally (50 each).
  • If they sell different types of food, the truck selling tacos attracts 60 customers, and the truck selling burgers attracts 40 customers.

Based on this information, calculate the daily payoff (defined as profit) for Taco Titan if it chooses to sell Tacos and Burger Boss chooses to sell Burgers. Show your calculation.
