Correlation Between Depression Severity and Heart Disease Risk

There is a direct relationship between the intensity of depressive symptoms and the likelihood of negative cardiovascular outcomes. The risk of developing heart disease and experiencing cardiac-related death increases as the severity of an individual's depression increases.
