Crony Capitalism

Crony capitalism is a system where the success of businesses depends on close, mutually beneficial relationships between business leaders and government officials. In this model, economic prosperity is achieved not through free market competition, but through favoritism in the distribution of legal permits, government grants, tax breaks, and other state-provided advantages. This leads to a distortion of the market and often results in corruption and reduced economic efficiency.
