Delirium and Major or Mild Neurocognitive Disorder as Differential Diagnoses to Psychotic Disorder Due to Another Medical Condition
If the psychosis occurs only during delirium then the diagnosis psychotic disorder due to another medical condition would not be made. If a neurocognitive condition is present and physiologically causes hallucinations and delusions then this diagnosis would be appropriate.
