Driving Side Conventions by Country

A common example of a government-mandated rule is the side of the road on which to drive. This convention varies by country. For instance, in nations like Japan, the United Kingdom, and Indonesia, the rule is to drive on the left. Conversely, countries such as South Korea, France, and the United States require driving on the right.
