Everyday Rewards as Positive Reinforcement

Positive reinforcement is a common feature of daily life, occurring in many forms beyond formal training. Various rewards can be used to reinforce learning and behavior, such as stickers, praise, money, or toys. Other common examples include receiving a paycheck for working, earning high grades for academic effort, gaining admission to a desired school, or being commended for passing a driving test. In all these cases, a positive outcome strengthens the behavior that preceded it.
