Flipped Classrooms- Student Perspective through Literature Review
One section of the article that bears closer review is the literature about flipped classrooms that is discussed before going into the actual study itself. It lists the pros and cons that flipped classrooms can have. This style of education can provide more interactive, collaborative experiences that foster higher and critical thinking skills while giving students more control over their work. However, students complain that, whatever cognitive skills are strengthened, the actual performance in class is unaffected. Students seem to expect lectures in class and are less likely to review the lectures on their own nor do they like the prospect of a bigger workload because of the structure of the flipped classroom.
