The purpose of the study was to examine how college students' personality relates to their choice of course delivery and to see if the choice mediates the relationship between personality and academic achievement.
Researchers hypothesized that conscientiousness would be the best predictor of academic achievement, with openness and agreeableness following.
They also hypothesized more neurotic, extraverted, and agreeable students will choose face-to-face courses, while more open and conscientious students will choose online courses. This choice will explain their achievement in class.
