Impact of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction on PTSD Symptoms

Practicing MBSR is effective in alleviating the PTSD symptoms of trauma-exposed, low-income women, including avoidance, hyperarousal, and re-experiencing trauma. Participants’ PTSD symptoms decreased significantly at the completion of the MBSR program as well as four weeks after completing the program.
