In general, knowledgeable participants had higher reading comprehension scores than nonknowledgeable participants
Under the linear condition, knowledgeable participants performed better than nonknowledgeable participants
Knowledgeable participants had similar reading comprehension scores for the 3 conditions
For nonknowledgeable participants, the mixed condition led to better reading scores than linear text
