Intergenerational Conflict in the Workplace
Differences in attitudes and values between generations can lead to conflict in the workplace. A key example is the friction between Baby Boomers and Millennials. Baby Boomers, having shaped the existing organizational culture, may expect younger employees to 'pay their dues.' In contrast, Millennials may resist this expectation due to a greater emphasis on work-life balance, creating challenges for managers in fostering a cohesive and motivated workforce.
