Limitations of the WS-PS Model

A primary limitation of the supply-side WS-PS model is its inability to explain why an economy can become stuck with an unemployment rate persistently higher than the structural rate defined by the WS-PS equilibrium. This points to a potential discrepancy between the model's predictions of self-correction and observed economic reality. Further limitations include the possibility that the model's wage-setting and price-setting curves may not fully capture the complexities of a specific economy's structure.
