One aspect of looking at online learning that the article points out is that, when considering motivation theories in educational frameworks, applying it in face-to-face learning classrooms will lead to different results compared to using it in online learning. Given the different methods and aspects of both kinds of learning (such as communication, flexibility), how a student is motivated in online courses requires different research, which leads to the study in this article.
