Negative Reinforcement in Seatbelt Systems

Car manufacturers utilize negative reinforcement to encourage drivers to fasten their seatbelts. The vehicle produces an annoying beeping sound that only stops when the seatbelt is buckled. The removal of this undesirable auditory stimulus increases the likelihood of the desired behavior in the future.
