Objective of Comparative analyses of SAR-CoV2 genomes from different geographical locations and other coronavirus family genomes reveals unique features potentially consequential to host-virus interaction and pathogenesis
The study analyzed SARS-CoV-2 genomes from different geographical regions, India, Italy, USA, Nepal, and Wuhan, to determine genomic features unique to SARS-CoV-2 that differ from SARS-CoV and other coronavirus genomes. This information can allow scientists to understand more about the unique infection, facilitation of transmission, virulence, and immunogenic features of the virus.
