Pavlov's Controlled Experiments on Conditioned Salivation

To objectively investigate the 'psychic secretions' in dogs, Pavlov designed a series of carefully controlled experiments. In these studies, he demonstrated that dogs could be trained to salivate in response to various neutral stimuli, such as the sound of a bell, a light, or a touch on the leg, after these stimuli were repeatedly associated with food.
